Lint Busters™, a division of Pepin Manufacturing, is sharing a resource on lint and fiber control practices used in clothing processing and dry cleaning operations. The company manufactures American-made lint removal products at its Minnesota facility and has supplied commercial facilities for more than 25 years. Clothing processors, alteration shops, and dry cleaners place adhesive rollers at finishing, pressing, and final inspection points so that loose fibers are removed before garments move to packaging or customer pickup.
The company site describes lint removal as part of the process that keeps garments presentation-ready. In apparel manufacturing, rollers are used on raw fabric before cutting, at quality review stations during production, and again at final inspection before packaging. In dry cleaning and alteration environments, the same tools are used at pressing stations and during the last check before a garment is returned to the customer. Lint Busters lists clothing processing, dry cleaning, and apparel manufacturing among the industries it serves.
“Lint removal is often part of the final checks before a garment is packaged or returned to a customer,” said Steve Yulga, Sales & Marketing Manager of Lint Busters. “In clothing processing and dry cleaning, keeping rollers near finishing and inspection stations makes it easier to address loose fibers as garments move through the workflow.”
Product configurations referenced for these environments include the Lint Busters Plus set, which pairs twelve rolls with a metal handle. The company notes that the metal handle is selected for stations where the tool is used repeatedly during a shift, because the construction resists the flex that can affect plastic handles under continuous handling. A second configuration supplies twelve rolls with twelve separate handles so that packing or fulfillment teams can keep a roller at each station without sharing a single handle. Both configurations are produced in the United States.
The company also lists a commercial fabric shaver for pilling and fuzz on sweaters and other fabrics. The shaver is described as rechargeable and is offered for use in tailoring shops, clothing stores, and manufacturing settings where fabric surfaces show fiber wear after handling or storage. It is presented as a separate tool from the adhesive rollers used for loose lint and hair.
“Lint control can be incorporated at several points in the process, from checking fabric during production to inspecting finished garments before they leave the facility,” Yulga added. “The appropriate placement depends on the operation and how garments move between workstations.”
Fall months bring higher volumes of heavier apparel through dry cleaning and alteration channels as seasonal clothing rotates. The company is noting the existing use of rollers at finishing and inspection stations during this period. The same placement applies in larger clothing processing operations that manage multiple stations and in independent dry cleaning shops that handle individual garments. Related sectors such as janitorial services use rollers for uniform touch-ups, but the current resource is limited to the clothing processing and dry cleaning applications listed on the site.
All Lint Busters rollers are manufactured at the Pepin Manufacturing facility in Minnesota. The company states that production remains domestic and that adhesive performance is kept consistent across batches. Bulk ordering options are available for facilities that stock multiple stations. Refill rolls can be ordered separately so that handles already in circulation continue in service.
Pepin Manufacturing, the parent company of Lint Busters, is a family-owned contract manufacturer based in Minnesota. The organization produces the Lint Busters line of commercial lint rollers and supplies facilities in manufacturing, food processing, healthcare, hospitality, janitorial services, clothing processing, veterinary care, and automotive operations. The Lint Busters division has focused on commercial lint removal products for more than 25 years.
The resource remains limited to the placement of commercial rollers already used in clothing processing and dry cleaning workflows. The company continues to supply these products through its established commercial channels.
